Melody's B'Day Partay

Today was Melody's birthday party. I don't think it should be me updating about it because I don't have any photos. However, I shall try in vain.

My part in it, I suppose, began when we 6 people on the train (Christine, Herman, Kathy, Vonnie, Eleanor and me), and Liz (coincidentally?) bumped into Susie, Jenny, and most specially of all, Melody at the big gold tree in Chinatown. Well actually it may have begun before that, because I had to pick up the cake in Hurstville. And now that it's all over, I guess I can tell you now Mel =P. Susie and I didn't go to get money of her dad, as we may have told you, and as you know was a lie. Instead we went to drop off the cake at his restaurant =P.

Susie and I met up with Mish at Darling Harbour, where we walked alll the way to Laser Tag, and met up with everyone. And unfortunately, in the midst of Mel's B'day celebrations, the place had stuffed up the booking and there was no room for our wonderful, lovely party to get some exercise (the only exercise I would've gotten throughout the whole year!) but we didn't let it bring us down!

We instead made our way slowly towards Big Echo, a place where we were to sing our hearts out until our voices went hoarse. And on our way, Iris made her dramatically late entrance. There, we discovered that there was a Birthday Special and so got special prices =D. It was off to a shaky start, as from my observations of humanity and emotional journeys (sorry, just HAD to stick that in =P), some of us were having a much better time than others, but by the end...(yes once again, I observed everyone around me) as far as I could tell, everyone had enjoyed themselves =D. But correct me if I'm wrong. We sang awesome songs (look, Sarah bolded the word "awesome"!), such as Barbie Girl, All the Small Things, M2M, Happy Birthday (in THREE different languages!), and some random Canto/Mando songs, and other English classics, that I find myself incapable of naming.

At the end of a long but satisfying 3 hours, during which four members of the party had left, including Liz, Vonnie, Elz and Mish due to other various commitments, we slowly but surely made our way towards the restaurant. Actually now that I remember, Susie, Jenny and I ran away so as to add the final touches to the chocolate cake with extra caramel (LOL I spelled it cameral and it took me a while to figure out why it was wrong) which was quite complicated, to be honest, while Mel and co. went to the restaurant. Sorry if we annoyed you, BUT IT WAS FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!! Trust me when I say that the process was a long and difficult one. We went through so much for you Melody!!. Hope you appreciate it =P.

We RAN to the restaurant, and...yes we were unfortunately told that our Korean discovery on Wednesday was in fact a Chinese one. Again, that did not let us down and we ordered food with full gusto. It was really good, nice, and filling. The company wasn't too bad either =P. And how could I forget! We got ALCOHOL!!!! And Susanna got asked for her ID, LOL, even though she was like the third oldest there, and practically the next one to turn 18.

The alcohol was soju *salivates due to exposure to so many Korean Dramas* diluted in pomegranate juice, or something, which was pretty cool, except it tasted like Durotus. We persisted though, and Stine got incredibly red. We drank the whole jug =O.

We sang Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Melody, Happy Birthday to you! when the MANGO CAKE came out after I told them to bring it out, and they put EIGHTEEN candles on it! And at this point I must add in Katie Perry's I kissed a girl and I liked iiittt, because that's what I did, along with many others ;). Oh Mel, so much ACTION.

Eventually we had to leave the restaurant, and us T-Quads bid the others farewell as they reluctantly began their journey towards home (all on the same train line!), and we made our way towards the long abandoned Capitol sticky photo booths. Jenny was up to her usual antics, breathing upon Melody after being told she was drunk and smelt like alcohol. And I for one fully support such antics. =D. After Susie made a failed attempt at pole dancing and almost got killed by an onslaught of cars (don't worry, I still thought it was HOT!), we somehow got to Capitol Square and took photos~.

And there are also some idiotic (but memorable!) photos taken on Mel's phone =D. I was also an idiot, thinking that I had Susanna's jacket which I thought she had forgotten at the machine, when she was wearing it the whole time. And only discovered this halfway to the bus stop. Hah oops, is all I can say.

I bid goodbye to my dear T-Quads at the intersection of Liverpool and George Streets (I think CHAIR make a better couple though!), and got home at 10PM on the dot.

It was an excellent day, and even though Mel will never turn 18 again, or have an 18th birthday party again, we should do this again someday! Like maybe in 2.5 months, when our HSC is over!

Please post the photos of today =P. My entry will be feeble compared to she who posts photos. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words.
