Good things come in fours

Copied and pasted from my LJ because I'm lazy. And because the blog is feeling a little lonely :(

I'm not sure but I think Wednesday was our last tutoring session at Kogarah Library. Yes, the one who sucks at maths teaches others how to do it, hah. It was good because my voice didn't die trying to explain stuff like on previous occassions. Anyway at the end the little boy Sarah was attending (?) was sitting resolutely on the floor reading his Astro Boy book. This is my attempt at making him get up:

J: hey Kyan (is that how you spell his name?) its time to go now
K: *ignores me*
J: how about we borrow the Astro Boy book and you can read it at home *tries to gently tug the book away*
K: *pulls back and continues reading*
J: ...your mum's going to be angry
K: *gets up and starts walking*

Hahah so cute...but stubbon. Anyway I think its been a pretty worthwhile extra curricular, adding to my basically non-existent list. Sarah wants to join the Enviro Club now? LOL.

Today was our last ever Walkathon! Our soft drink / spider / arm wrestling stall did quite well. Kathy is so pessimistic, saying that we weren't even going to breakeven when we ended up making a profit of $100+. ;D Spent most of the day pouring drinks and walking around trying to convince people to buy from us or arm wrestle each other. xD I love the fact that Herman beat Mr Siu... and Sarah lost to a girl in year 8. Hahaha don't worry Sarah, the rest of us would probably have lost to her too. Christine mastered the art of scooping icecream and other people walked around selling drinks (Mel's exercise quota for the century is fulfilled).

Towards the end we reduced the price of our spiders and cans to 50 cents. The last 15 minutes were so hectic with a sudden influx of people. There's was lots of yelling on Christine's part and swearing on mine...but I think we were like that for the whole day anyway. =P I actually think most stalls made a profit which doesn't happen very often. Go year 12 2008. ;)

Time to party with our remaining drinks and icecream!
